Initial C-CAP High-Resolution Land Cover Layers Initial C-CAP High-Resolution Land Cover LayersThese nationally standardized, raster-based map products bring NOAA’s national land cover mapping framework to the local level, providing a level of detail that has not been available in past Regional (30-meter) products.
These initial layers focused on impervious, canopy, and water feature mapping represent the first step towards a more complete national land cover product. They are provided as-is but are also used as a foundation for adding more detailed categories (such as agricultural areas and wetlands) in order to develop more refined land cover products on a project-by-project basis.

Recommended: For each geotiff, download the companion auxiliary file (.tif.aux.xml), which contains display and attribute information.
Use Restriction: This land cover data may not be used for the purpose of creating, training, improving, modifying, validating, testing, or evaluating machine learning algorithms, or otherwise leverage the product for the purposes of machine learning for a period of five years from its date of creation.
